i kinda wanna post something like JB's and nasz's "2010 recap" but now i guess its too late 'cause its already 2011 hahaha. it was fun reading their posts you know, as i got to do my own so-called reminiscing of the past and think back on my 2010 study life, relationship with friends and family, my love life, and also a handful of awesome special events that occurred throughout 2010.

well, this is the year where i turn 20 and somehow i feel more matured (maybe because the age 20 sounds old without the digit 1 in front. heheh) and i watched myself become the man i should be proud of bla bla bla. ok i should stop now before this turns into a longgg post like nasz's. haha i never thought you could make a post that long.

all in all, 2010 has been a fantastic year and in fact, the last 20 years of my life has been great too and im grateful to Allah for all that was given to me. so lets start fresh on this brand new 2011 and be awesome all the way. oh and my 2011 resolution? naaaaaah i never fulfilled that crap so this year im not making any. heh. so happy new year everyone!

how to treat achilles tendon injury

What is Achilles tendon?

The Achilles tendon connects the muscles in the back of your lower leg to your heel bone, and it is used virtually every time you use your foot.

Injuries to it often result from taking part in an activity for which you're not properly conditioned, or from a single episode of overactivity, such as hurdling or high jumping.

Instructions

1. Rest your leg. Minimize your activity and stay off your foot. Otherwise, healing will be impaired.

2. Use ice three or four times a day for 15 minutes at a time. This will decrease the inflammation and numb the pain.

3. Apply heat to the area after the first 24 hours if the swelling has gone down. Use hot soaks, a heating pad or heat ointments.

4. Wrap the injured ankle with an elasticized bandage. The compression will help keep it immobile and facilitate healing.

5. Keep the leg elevated as much as possible. This helps keep swelling at a minimum.

6. Use crutches or some other support for walking for at least 72 hours if you have a moderate to severe sprain. If your foot is casted, you will need support for a longer period.

Tips & Warnings

If you are prone to Achilles tendon injuries, you should do appropriate conditioning and warm-ups before participating in sports or exercise.

Healing times are usually 2 to 10 days for a mild strain, 10 days to 6 weeks for a moderate strain, or 6 to 10 weeks for a severe strain. Repeated injuries may take longer to heal and are more prone to complications.

so that's it. the things i need to do to fully recover from this damn Achilles thing. been bugging me since i was 17 but it got worse last few months. well actually, mine is only mild strain but i have a really, reeeeeally high tendency for this to happen over and over again with even the slightest twist of the ankle. so i'm guessing there's no more futsal for me. *kecewa* but it's okay, i can still jog or play tennis, as long as it doesn't involve activities where i need to kick any kinds of balls. (now that sounds weird)

at last i'm finally home, now indulging myself with a bowl of laksa sarawak my mum made this morning. aaaaaaaaah~ this is what i call heaven. yesterday's journey before arriving in The Land of The Headhunters was quite tiring. i had to wait almost 11 hours alone, as all my best friends catches up earlier flights to their respective hometown. to all of you, have a great holiday. jumpa lagi sem depan! eh bukan, jumpa lagi before sem depan because you sabahans (syahmi, flee, lolo) planned a trip to kuching, right? bah, jumpa time tu laa. let me and awg and nasz and stiel be your tour guide and i ensure that you'll all have the best trip of your life.

11 may 2008 - this was before i'm even here in utp. along sambut mother's day tahun tok dengan angah, jepot, and hani. kmk org polah project seawal 8 pagi. time tok mek bok dapat lesen bah, so kmk curi2 kelua pake kereta mak g kedai stationary beli mother's day card. then kmk org menjalankan operasi melukis dan meng-decorate kad ya. hasilnya, kad yg dah cukup sifat jadi lunyai penuh ngan lukisan mek org. haha. hani along suroh jadi umpan main ngan mak, polah mak distracted supaya sik kaco mek org decorate kad. then bila datang time mak masak, kmk org turun bawah, surprise mak dari blakang. hani bawak kad, and along main lagu Belaian Jiwa by Innuendo guna gitar. mak tengah potong bawang tekejut and nangis. tapi siktaukla nangis sbb potong bawang or sbb kmkorg surprise nya. haha. malam ya kmk org celebrate, mak masak sedaap! and that was the best mother's day celebration ever.

i was in uitm seri iskandar yesterday for UTP OPEN tennis tournament.

i played badly, and i lost the first round match to a KL player. :(

but on top of that, this incident annoys me the most. it happens when i went to take my lunch after i lost my match.

this is the very first day of lecture this semester, 2010 first year second semester. 4 classes starting from 1000 hours with one hour break between each classes up until 1700 hours. bayangkan pok, kelas sejam rest sejam kelas sejam rest sejam sampe san kol 5 petang start dari 10 pagi. yoo pok berbelang-belang naa juak kelas. nang cipiet. subjects, emm boleh tahan laa. the summary is hari ini sangat busy.

i just finished attending two club meetings at 2300 hours, and i foresee more of this coming throughout the semester. hosnestly, i prefer shorter meetings. HAHA. my opinion jak aaa~ :)

i have no idea, seriously, on what to write for my first post of 2010. well, 2009 is now history but i reckon that all in all, 2009 was great and awesome and fantastic and god knows what else. bad moments ada laaaah satu dua tapi macam tak bad sangat kot, cam ok je everything taun 2009 tu. or maybe i'm already looking forward to my so-called plans for 2010, so dah malas nak recall balik bnda tak best last year. cheyy, last year haaa? bunyi cam dah lama gila padahal baru je semalam 2009 pergi. appara lu acap. oh damn, result. i hope i can have a good result, a goooood one sbb cam tak best je bawah 3 pointer. at least 3 pointer la please? kalo incik utp nak kasik dekan lagi best. :)

i wanna change my blog layout. i wanna sweep and tidy up my unearthly looking room. i wanna wash my shoes, semuanya skali. baju da basoh, ok xpa. emm, buang sarang nasz aka spiderman kat atas siling pun mok juak. tapi takut sakit la pulak, coz i x tahan debu. i wanna play any kinds of game sampai rasa nak muntah main x henti-henti. i wanna fb mcm mervin blair stanley yg dah abis paper and still online fb jawab soalan "friends exposed" dah pkl 3 pagi coz he doesn't have anything else to do. i wanna compose a song for ehem2-you-know-who.

these things are only a nanosection of things i wanna do, starting 24-11-09 lepas abes final paper until 26-11-09, most probably tgh malam coz itu time aku balik kampung. 24 until 26, x lama kn tapi aku mesti boring gila sbb sahabat-sahabat jiran tetangga V1 aku nanti smua mesti dah balik punya. tinggal la aku sorang for two days yang indah dan permai itu. ohhhh~ tapi skarang aku mesti study dulu, final exam blom abes!

this post will primarily describe on nothing. i'm just bored, that's all. okay first of all, final exam starts today. academic writing paper is now history, and i have 3 papers left. commenting on AW paper this morning, seriously i suggest that its duration should be more than 2 hours. i don't know about others, but i am suffocating inside the exam hall trying to complete my paper on time. 2 hours? gila pok! i mean, first question-60 marks, a 5-paragraph essay on nanotechnology where we have to synthesize 3 different articles, and state our opinion on the issue raised. 60 marks! ambik la kau acap. sejam setengah polah cgek essay ya. huhh~ then the remaining 30 minutes is all that's left for me to complete the other 2 questions. nice nice nice~ kpd penyemak paper ku klak, sorry tulisan ku buruk yg last 2 questions ya. berebut ngan masa pok!

next, awang, kau mesti tabah, doa, redha. yg dah jadi ya ketentuan Tuhan pok. serious aku sik tahan nangga ko sedih hari-hari. pilu ati ku nangga kau kdktok aihh. kau be strong ok? ya jak ku dpt pdh. if ko perlukan apa-apa, kmkorg smua ada ctok. take care pok :)

i am confused. damn. life is so full of choices, and it is best to say that you are the one responsible for your own choices. ya Allah, tolong aku. i've seen the consequences of choices made by some people, and yes, most of the time they tend to choose what seems to be possible or reasonable at that time. i am not excluded. i've been stupid, and sometimes it turns out that the easier option often is the worse between the two. ohh tidakk, kenapa hidup mesti begini? bila kita buat pilihan yang mudah, kita sebenarnya dah lari daripada apa yg kita benar-benar mahu.
